Seranit maintains its production lines with investments that are renewed and enhanced to keep production quality consistent and create and follow new trends. Italy is the source of innovations in the global ceramic sector. However, the technologies and innovations that Seranit employs are still not applied by many Italian producers.

Seranit, which simultaneously maintains its research and development activities to develop technologies instead of purchasing them, adds on new values thanks to the experience it has in this field.

Description of the production premises and technology

Seranit plant occupies an area of 102.000 m² in the 1st Organised Industrial Region of Bilecik Province. The operations continue in the production facilities with a closed area of 55.000 m2 and the administrative building seated on an area of 5.000 m2 within the premises.

Large Size

The closed production areas consist of the 1st plant facilities, the polishing production building and the 2nd plant facilities. The closed stock and storage area of 7.600 m2 is used as the stock site for finished products.

The automatic weighing unit supports the production performed at the 1st and 2nd plant buildings and ensures that raw materials automatically flow into the continuous mills. The raw material storage area constitutes the first leg of the production process. The process continues with the shaping of raw materials into micron size in continuous mills.

Raw materials reduced to micron size and homogeneously mixed with dye pigments are blended at the underground mud storages using mixers. The raw materials made into mixtures are passed through sprayers, and a body material with a humidity rate of 5% is formed.
